Bear River Zeolite operates an open pit mine in in Franklin County, Idaho within a sedimentary deposit of hydrothermally altered (zeolitized) volcanic ash.

Natural clinoptilolite zeolite aggregates and milled powders are processed according to end use application size characterized products ranging from 1/2 inch down to 15 microns.

A primary functional commercial utility of natural clinoptilolite zeolite include the ability to exchange one cation (positively charged ion) for another know as “cation exchange capacity”, or “CEC”.  Exchangeable cations include NH4+, Ca++, Na+, K+, and many others including heavy metals and radionuclides from aqueous solutions.

Product is sold and used in multiple industry applications including filter media (water, food grade, air), functional liquid carrier, flow agent, desiccant, pozzolan, spill & waste management, media aeration, animal litter and soil amendment.

Product is hermetically packaged in 25 and 50 pound(s) bags and super sacks.
